The position of Estimator is aimed at those of you who with experience in the new build commercial sector. This position is a permanent position and is based in the North West in Lancashire.  My client is looking for an Estimator who can hit the ground running and show that they are very good at what they do so a proven track record is a must. Your duties will involve bidding and tendering for work between £2-15m.

Degree or Equivalent Qualification

My client is a long established family construction firm, traditionally operating in South Yorkshire and East Midlands Regions, which has now developed into a Construction Company with a marketplace activity operating almost nationally and with a planned turnover in the coming year of £30 million. In 2003 the company launched successfully a house building division which is planned to generate a turnover for the forthcoming year of £5 million. Since being established in Matlock in 1896, my client has an established reputation as a leading contractor for major building works. The Company has also formed informal partnering relationships with private sector clients in health, education and housing.

My client is wanting to recruit an Estimator based in Chesterfield to take control of bidding and tendering for work valued between £250k and £1million in all sectors.  This permanent position requires an Estimator to undertake daily tasks involving the day to day estimating including valuations, pricing variations, cost reconciliation, the preparation of final accounts, site and off-plan measurement, client liaison, negotiation claims where necessary and procurement schedules. The ability to give presentations on estimates is an essential part of you role and you will need first-rate negotiation skills with clients and internal departments alike throughout the tender process.

My client is constantly progressing by adopting dynamic, forward-thinking, solutions-approach through their many in-house skills, which include stone masonry, carpentry, joinery, brickwork, lead work and traditional plastering.

My client is wanting to hire an Estimator on a permanent contract to work on the refurbishment and restoration of projects worth up to the value of £10m. The position is based in York and requires the successful estimator to start as soon as they can.

The Estimator will be required to undertake daily tasks such as valuations, pricing variations, cost reconciliation, the preparation of final accounts, site and off-plan measurement, client liaison, negotiation claims where necessary and procurement schedules. The ability to give presentations on estimates is an essential part of you role and you will need first-rate negotiation skills with clients and internal departments alike throughout the tender process. Ideally, my client is looking for an Estimator with a broad background of experiences.
